I found an article on the creative blog
about what impact colours have on our emotions. Although it focuses on the web
design and the use of colour on the websites it is a good starting point for
this subject. (http://www.creativebloq.com/web-design/12-colours-and-emotions-they-evoke-61515112)

Psychology:
I found an article on the art therapy blog
talking about common psychological effects of colours. The article talks about
how different colours can affect a person’s mental or physical state. The
author writes about how colours can have different connotations in different cultures.
And in my opinion that is something worth keeping in mind while designing a product
for the specific audience.
There is a long list of colour meaning
listed on this website, it is too long to copy it all, so here’s the link: http://www.arttherapyblog.com/online/color-meanings-symbolism/
